Children's Cleanings & Exams

Just like adults, children, too, need to visit the dental clinic for regular dental check-ups and cleanings. They are prone to developing problems such as cavities, caries, and others, and if these problems are not treated at the right time, the condition becomes worse. As a parent, it is integral to bring your little one to our clinic so that we may check the condition of their teeth and perform suitable procedures to maintain their oral hygiene.

Dental Cleaning for Children

When you bring your child to our clinic, we start with a professional dental cleaning. This procedure involves the cleaning of the build-up of plaque and tartar from their teeth. The accumulation of these substances causes caries and may further shape into tooth or gum decay.

Professional dental cleaning for children cleans their teeth thoroughly, thereby offering remarkable results. Dental cleaning for your children should be scheduled twice a year to maintain their oral hygiene.

Dental Examination for Children

We also perform a dental examination for children, wherein we check the overall health of their teeth, gums, and mouth. We may even perform an oral cancer examination in teens. Upon finding any concern, we will recommend a suitable treatment for it. Just like professional dental cleaning, dental examination, too, should be carried out twice a year.

Professional Fluoride Treatment

Fluoride refers to a naturally occurring mineral that helps prevent tooth decay and strengthen the enamel of the teeth. Fluoride comes with decay-fighting properties. Hence, we may suggest professional fluoride treatment for your little ones to keep their dental health in place.

Two different types of professional fluoride treatments are performed, topical fluoride treatment and systemic fluoride treatment. The former includes the application of gel on the teeth, while the latter comes in the form of a pill that we may prescribe to children who have a deficiency of fluoride.

Dental Sealants

Our dentist applies dental sealants on the newly erupted permanent or primary teeth of your child to protect them against cavities. The procedure involves the application of a thin coating that keeps bacteria, acid, and food particles away from the surface of their teeth. It is a painless procedure and can be completed in a single visit only.

The Aftercare

After performing the dental examination and the required procedure, we will ask your little ones to take preventive care of their teeth. Ensure that your kid brushes and flosses their teeth twice a day and stays away from sugary foods.
